The collaborative exhibition EKSTASE at Villa Nachttanz in Heidelberg brought together a diverse range of music, performance art, and visual arts. The event featured DJs, sound artists, and a sound collective, covering genres like Drone, Ambient, Kraut, Noise, and Techno. A performance by Patricia Piccante from QuArtEer opened the dancefloor, marking the transition from the chill, ambient part to the energetic techno segment, setting the tone for the night.
I presented The Gestaltwandler (2024), a series of nine collages (25 x 30 cm) exploring interconnectedness, transformation, and time. These collages combine paint, sketches, and edited photographs of memories and details to form shifting, fluid beings that lack a stable, contained form. They embody the inconsistency of memory and the subconscious, with their shapes flowing into each other and repeating on different scales. The series invites open interpretation, with each viewer seeing different things, much like observing clouds or shapes in a trance.
Additionally, I installed a piece outdoors on a tree—a continuation of the polygonal canvas created in 2023. This work evolved over time, later becoming one of the central pieces in the Andere Wesen exhibition. At EKSTASE, I displayed it in an “upside-down” state, representing an in-between phase of its transformation before its final form was realized.
