Ekstase [2024]: - Villa Nachttanz

• series of nine collages (25 x 30 cm)

• combining paint, sketches, and edited photographs of memories and details to form shifting, fluid beings that lack a stable, contained form

• exploring interconnectedness, time, transformation, the inconsistency of memory and the subconscious, with shapes flowing into each other and repeating on different scales

• The series invites open interpretation, with each viewer seeing different things, much like observing clouds or shapes in a trance.

  
  

Additionally, I installed a piece outdoors on a tree—a continuation of the polygonal canvas created in 2023. This work evolved over time, later becoming one of the central pieces in the Andere Wesen exhibition. At EKSTASE, I displayed it in an “upside-down” state, representing an in-between phase of its transformation before its final form was realized.
